MINNEAPOLIS—Ely native Erin Bianco was among a handful of Minnesota skiers taking part in the Stifel Loppet Cup this past weekend at Theodore Wirth Park. The event was part of this year’s World Cup tour and drew top Nordic racers from around the world. Bianco, who qualified for the World Cup circuit earlier this year, finished in 37th place, including fifth among Americans, in the elite field during the sprint competition on Saturday. more
