snowshoe2: I took the article to represent resentment by the Sierra Clubbers that they are hated by the generations old residents of the Ely area. They are hated for good reason.
You want peace? Agree to restore outboard motors and snowmobile use along traditional routes in the BWCA, especially the International border. Can't agree to that? Expect divisiveness as long as you live. You guys have to learn to compromise, not rob it all for yourselves.
A lot of Mayors have come and gone in Ely during my lifetime. You should have been around when Doc Grahek was Mayor. If you pleaded peace during his tenure, you'd get a punch in the face.
