The mining companies themselves say they will create jobs for 20 years. Than what?The area will be changed forever. Will we also effect Canada's watershed? I don't know the answer,it could the water flows that way.
Twenty years of mining gives nothing to future generations. Like all things in life,it goes for mining also,there are times and places that can be mined safely and there are places that can not.
To many times short term fixes lead to long term problems. Look at are National Depth. Too many times we as humans learn to justfy anything without looking at the big picture or consequences. Lets look before we leap. Somebody in the future may thank you.
