We not only have 612 ers,- 763 and 952ers have been invading for quite a while now. I subscribe to the online Star Tribune. It is depressing to read the negative opinions most our southern progressive neighbors have of mining . Every single article about mining in the Star elicits dozens of negative comments. They HATE mining. As a miner, I rather love it. When tourists or paper pushing retirees come up here on horseback, toting a home made birch bark canoe,, they can whine about 'extraction'. Until then? Anti-mining, anti- blue collar worker tourists can stay home.
