You're right Marshall - bashing Trump was not enough for him to lose the election. I woke up the day of the election and said to myself "Does this country want to continue with status quo"? The answer was No. Like you said the Democratic party better find a more attractive campaign then just bashing Trump because polls have said in spite of his low ratings most who voted for him would vote for him again.
