As per a conversation with a St. Louis county commissioner, he said it is extremely unlikely that the county would have any use for fire dept. property as it was paid for by the residents of the area. Isle of the Pines bridge $ should be kept in a separate account as it was funded entirely by residents of the island. The legal fees alone should make taxpayers wonder what the heck is going on. I have noticed that planning and zoning have rarely seen a variance they didn't like. St. Louis County follows the rules and the law, resulting in little or no need to have an attorney review most of what they do............
