TWO HARBORS - Erin Bianco raced away with the individual title at Tuesday’s Two Harbors Invite, leading the Ely girls to a convincing first-place team finish.
Bianco closed with a time of 21:39.5, nearly half a minute ahead of the next finisher.
Emma Terwilliger gained third place in 22:44.4, trailed closely by Ryne Prigge in fifth in 23:10.3 and Laura Pasmick in sixth in 23:13.1.
Caroline Homer earned 10th in 23:43.6, followed by Kalyssa Eilrich (24:20.6), Brooke Pasmick (25:06.2) and Taryn Osthoff (27:05.4).
The Ely boys took third place, led by Gavin Blauch in seventh overall in 20:47.3.
Also placing in the top 20 for the Wolves were Simon Stouffer (21:01.5), James Schwinghamer (21:22.6) and Raif Olson (21:47.4).
The Ely girls took fifth place at Friday’s Mesabi East Invite at Giants Ridge, with the boys taking 10th place.
Bianco was fourth in the freestyle competition in 17:52, with Terwilliger taking sixth in the classic in 17:48.
Stouffer led the Wolves boys, taking 16th in the freestyle in 15:38.
