ELY - Ely climbed back over the .500 mark with a pair of home wins this week, topping North Woods 61-40 on Thursday and Silver Bay 73-40 on Monday.
Mattson excelled at both ends of the floor versus Silver Bay, accumulating 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals, with Brielle Kallberg recording 17 points and nine steals.
Shayla Zaverl also turned in a stellar night, closing with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Maggie Isbell followed with six points and Lida Dodge, Morgan Moravitz and Susan Cook added four apiece.
Mattson and Kallberg also led the way against North Woods, with Mattson picking up 17 points and six rebounds and Kallberg tallying 16 points and six steals.
Zaverl finished with nine points and 12 rebounds, Isbell collected eight points and eight steals and Kalley Fischer had seven points and 10 rebounds.
North Woods later dropped a nailbiter 67-62 at home against Littlefork-Big Falls on Tuesday.
Bria Chiabotti led the Grizzlies with a 20-point night, joined in double figures by Alli Sandberg with 12.
Regan Ratai finished with nine points, Hanna Sandberg scored eight and Sasha Strong picked up seven.
