VIRGINIA - After a thrilling first encounter, the sequel was even better.

A month after Virginia handed North Woods its first, and still only, loss of the season, the Grizzlies exacted revenge on Thursday, emerging on top 75-69 in overtime.

Cade Goggleye was the dominant force in the matchup, recording 37 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the field and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Brendan Parson followed with 22 points and five assists, with George Bibeau scoring six points and Tanner Lokken and Chase Kleppe picking up four points apiece.

"The team demonstrated a lot of mental toughness in our rematch with Virginia," North Woods head coach Will Kleppe said. "With three starters on the bench, they demonstrated the ability to find a way to win, which will serve them well in the tournament run. The team agreed that it was a tournament-like atmosphere, much as it was the first time we met."

North Woods also went on to win 85-67 at Mesabi East on Friday and 79-50 at Lakeview Christian on Tuesday, improving to 22-1 on the season.

It was a balanced effort against Mesabi East, led by Goggleye with 17 points and 10 assists and Olson with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Bibeau also posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, with Parson and Chase Kleppe each contributing 11 points.

Tate Olson scored 23 points against Lakeview Christian, joined in double figures by Parson (14), Goggleye (12) and Bibeau (10), with Trevor Morrison adding eight points and Isaiah Squires scoring six.
