Rukavina shows common sense and hard work

Because of my former affiliation and work with the RAMS Board (Range Assn. of Municipalities & Schools), IRRRB, and the League of MN Cities, during the eleven years I served on the Ely City Council, I have paid close attention to our current representatives on various levels of government, i.e. local, the Range, and state.

It is because of these many years of involvement I suggest you monitor closely our upcoming election articles and press coverage.  Party affiliation does not preclude astute judgment and hard work — which can be the main reason why we vote for a candidate.

So, the reason I’m writing this letter (no, I’m not running for public office!) is to suggest that you consider the work ethic and common sense that does pretty much sum up Tommy Rukavina.  Yes, he might be short in stature but I believe he’s long on hard work.

Your vote for Rukavina would be a vote that would work for the betterment of our area...i.e. for mining, logging and tourism.
