BABBITT— In their final road game of the regular season, the Wolves held the Nighthawks to just eight points in the second half to fend off a first half challenge at Northeast Range.

“NER came out strong in the first half and played really good defense to keep the score close,” said Visser. “In the second half we were able to use our more fast-paced game to stretch out the lead and come away with the victory.”

Northeast Range Head Coach Paxton Goodsky said it was a game of two different halves for his team, which finished the regular season at 3-15.

“We started out really hot and were down by only two at halftime. But in the second half, we didn’t play so well.”

Junior Erika Mattson led in scoring with 25 points and added eight rebounds, while classmate Brielle Kallberg notched yet another double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Nighthawks, junior Casey Zahnow led the way with 13 points, while senior guard Shayler Lislegard tallied eight points.
