NETT LAKE/VERMILION RESERVATION- Individuals who have traveled in areas where they could have been exposed to the coronavirus within the past 14 days have been banned from entering the Bois Forte Reservation.
The resolution adopted Tuesday by the Tribal Council also bans access to anyone who is displaying symptoms associated with COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.
Anyone already on the reservation who has traveled to areas affected by COVID-19 has been directed to follow Center for Disease Control guidelines for self-isolation, including staying at home and practicing social distancing.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, counties where cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed as of Wednesday, March 18 are: Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Martin, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Renville, Scott, Stearns, Waseca, Washington, and Wright.
