Bette Joy Grano, 89, of Shoreview, formerly of Cook, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 at the First Baptist Church in Cook, with lunch and interment to follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Mlaker Funeral Home of Cook.

Thorsten J. Sabie
Thorsten J. “TJ” Sabie, 86, of Embarrass, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Essentia Health in Virginia with his family by his side. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 in Devils Lake, N.D. A gathering will follow at the Fireside Inn in Devils Lake. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home of Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Miller Sabie; daughter, Laura Cash; son, Steve Sabie; brothers, David (Becky) Sabie and Dan (Helen) Sabie; grandsons, Larry (Courtney) Laird and John (Kate Morin) Laird; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Liam and Levi Laird, Aria Merr,itt, Rosalie and Everett Choate; sisters-in-law, Peggy Miller (Jeff) Evenson and MaryAnn Miller; nephews, Jonathan (Susan) Sabie, Colin Sabie, Lowell (Amy Motteberg) Miller, Wes (Alley Engelstad) Miller, and Justin (Sara Walker) Jetty; and nieces, Isabel Sabie and Ariel (Brenda Truong) Jetty.

Kathryn L. Carlson, 78, of Tower, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her home. Funeral arrangements are pending with Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
