In the city of Tower, first-time candidate Ed Majerle was the top vote-getter, tallying 168 votes to claim one of the two seats up for grabs on Tuesday. The second seat went to Bill Hiltunen, who was re-elected to the council with 121 votes. Steve Altenburg received 95 votes and former council member Jon "Sonny" Nevela, who passed away last week but was still on the ballot, received 41 votes.
