Here's a simple fact that fear mongering types fail to grasp......................eventually everyone will get COVID19. It is a highly contagious airborne microscopic virus that cannot be stopped by a mask. The initial health expert recommendations were to temporarily lock down population centers in an effort to "flatten the curve" so as to not overwhelm the healthcare system. This was accomplished.

Here's another fact.............when it comes to the pandemic, the states have autonomy as to how they will handle it. The governor of New York decided that it was acceptable to return COVID19 patients to nursing homes, while the Governor of South Dakota used a more common sense and practical approach. No one can argue with the results of these very different solutions. The point is that the Trump administration has no authority to mandate the response that the states take during a pandemic.........and rightfully so.

Here's another fact...............it was the Trump administration that initiated the travel ban when Biden and Pelosi criticized it, actually calling it racist and xenophobic.

Here's another fact..............since the CDC has reversed it's stand on so many of the pandemic issues how can anyone say that they have any credibility? First there was no need for masks, then there was. The virus isn't highly contagious, then it was. The healthcare system will be overrun and 2 million people will die...............well that didn't happen either, did it.

I suggest that those that feel the need take shelter in their basements for the next several years, the rest of us have lives to live. You do what you need to do, while we do what we need to do. If you aren't comfortable with that philosophy, perhaps Communist China is the place for you.

And finally to the agenda driven editor that never misses an opportunity smear the president. Ask yourself what the economy would be like had this pandemic never occurred. Show some unbiased journalistic integrity for once and admit that the economy was the best that any of us have ever experienced in our lifetime, and that it was because of the reversal of Obama administration economic policy rather than the continuation of it. And while searching for what remains of your journalistic ethics, ask yourself which political party has more to gain by keeping the American people divided and explain why it's so important for you and your colleagues to continually attack one political party while reducing yourselves to nothing more than the propaganda arm of the other.

You most assuredly will continue to bash the president at every opportunity Mr. Editor, but answer one simple question. What have you ever written that promotes unity to all of the people in your area? It appears that you are guilty of being the very divider that you accuse the president of being. That makes you a con man as well.
