ORR— Authorities are investigating a suspicious encounter reported Sunday night outside the Dam Supper Club, along Hwy. 53 just south of Orr.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, a juvenile employee at the restaurant called 911 shortly after 10 p.m. on June 8 to report that he had been approached and grabbed by an unknown man in the parking lot as he arrived for work. The teen managed to get away and was not injured.
A social media post by a relative of the employee with knowledge of the situation provided more details. Reportedly the juvenile was taking out garbage when a black Jeep pulled up next to him and three men wearing face masks got out. After restraining him from behind, one man looked at him and said he was the “wrong kid” and then threw him on the ground.
Law enforcement agencies responded quickly, stopping several vehicles in the area, but no suspects were located.
The Sheriff’s Office says the case remains under investigation, though no credible leads have been identified so far. Officials are reminding the public to stay alert, trust their instincts, and report anything that seems out of place.
