I hope voters are carefully reading the campaign brochures they’re getting in the mail lately.
I’ve received several ads making wild claims about Minnesota House candidate Harley Droba, including crude mock-ups of Droba pasted over grim scenes of neglected schools, dark nights on some unknown street, and what looks like a migrant camp in some cold place like Albania.
Beware: these slick, deceptive ads are coming from Make Liberty Win, a dark money political action group based in Alexandria, Virginia. It has no connection to Minnesota and does not disclose where its money comes from. It has been active in sponsoring far right-wing challengers to defeat GOP incumbents in primaries in other states.
This season the group is fear-mongering by sliming Droba and other Democrats by associating them with a familiar medley of imagined or exaggerated “crises” that we regularly hear about in Trump’s rambling speeches.
Go to Harley Droba’s website at: harleydroba.com to find out who he is and what he stands for. Don’t be fooled by outside groups with dubious agendas and no accountability.
