FOND DU LAC — North Woods made short work of Fond du Lac on Monday, rolling to a straight-set victory to close out an exceptional regular season.
The Grizzlies, now 20-3, never let the winless Ogichidaa find their footing in a 25-4, 25-8, 25-4 sweep.
Tessa Burnett led the way at the service line with eight aces and added ten digs on defense.
Brynn Chosa delivered six aces and a team-high fifteen assists, while Carsyn Burnett chipped in ten assists of her own.
At the net, Lauren Burnett posted nine kills, with Brittin Lappi, Izzy Pascuzzi, and Laurin Glass each adding five.
With the win, North Woods wrapped up one of the program’s strongest regular seasons in recent years and will enter the Section 7A tournament next week as one of the top seeds.
To stay sharp, the Grizzlies scheduled a midweek scrimmage at Esko on Wednesday as a final tune-up before postseason play begins.
