GRAND RAPIDS—Competing against a huge field in Grand Rapids this past Saturday, Anna Larson and Via DeBeltz both posted top ten finishes in three different individual events to lift Northeast Range/Ely swimmers to tenth place in the True Team sectional competition.
Larson, a senior, finished in seventh place in a field of 32 swimmers in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:09.74. She also took eighth place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27:80, just over two seconds off the winning pace.
Meanwhile, DeBeltz, a junior, finished seventh in a field of 42 swimmers in the 500 freestyle, with a time of 6:12.56. DeBeltz, swimming against 44 other competitors, took 15th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:22.12.
Junior Tuuli Koivisto finished 16th in a field of 36 in the 200 individual medley.
