The letter writer from Florida in the June 13 issue makes complete Trumpian sense, meaning no sense at all, in attacking Barack Obama’s attempts at some much-needed diplomacy after the Bush years. And this makes him a bad president, as though actual diplomacy is somehow un-American? But, of course, a Trump apologist would think that – would, in fact, call it an ‘apology tour’ (so original – did you think of that all by yourself?).
But it gets better – “the only thing I was sure he would do is put the last nail in the race war, but instead he brought us back to the ‘50s” Huh? Pure Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity with their insane alternate historical nonsense – you want to plagiarize any other far-right crazies while you’re at it? Tucker Carlson maybe? Do you have ANY original thoughts on any of this, or are you just going to continue to ‘channel’ the wackos on the far right? And, in following the lead of Trump, doing it with childish insults like ‘Sleepy Joe’ and ‘Tampon Tim’ (again, SO original).
People are waking up, all right, to the damage being done by Trump and his cronies – and by his gutless enablers in Congress.
