The wolf population in the state is close to 3000 now and maybe 2500 last spring. A wolf averages 18 adult deer equivalent killed by them. That is 45,000 to 54,000 deer harvest-remember that is adult deer equivalent. A couple of fawns make an adult equivalent.

It is absolutely insane not to manage and control wolf populations. The number one cause right now is the wolf.

The State has dragged its feet in getting the Fed. protection lifted. Led by our MN DNR assistant commissioner and bowing to tribal groups and extreme protection groups.

Look at deer hunter mail-in hunter cards in the 1960's-Success ran around 80%. Now around10% up north.
