In my opinion our "democracy" has never been stronger, as the two party system is being challenged on both sides. Trump isn't, and never was, part of the establishment GOP, yet the voters imposed their will in 2016. Sanders is once again in the same situation as 2016, the establishment DNC appears to be shutting him out despite his substantial base of support.
Are push polls an accurate refection of voter intent? Recent history says no.
What we are witnessing is exactly what should happen when political parties fail to represent the people. Voters reject the establishment's hand picked candidates for alternatives. Thankfully there are choices such as Trump and Sanders, and I'd have think that John Adams would approve.
