Sisu Heritage sponsored a community night out on Thursday, Sept. 3. It was an easy-going community get-together on a beautiful late summer evening.
Families picnicked, kids played games, and adults visited and listened to the amazing live music by Tyler Burkum and Alison Rae (see the video). Tyler is as grammy-award winning musician who happens to be the son-in-law of Marlin and Jeannine Bjornrud of Embarrass. Alison Rae is an up-and-coming folk singer based in the Twin Cities whose music is getting a lot of attention.
A potter from the Farmsted Artisans demonstrated the pottery wheel. The Vermilion 4-H Club sold root beer floats. The Nelimark Museum was open for tours.
