Consequences

Have you considered the consequences if Donald Trump were to keep control of either house of Congress after the 2026 midterm elections? He has already made significant progress towards turning the US into a dictatorship.  There is no reason to believe he intends to stop.  Consider the examples below:
In 1917, Vladimir Lenin took control of Russian.  Since then, the Russian people have lived under communist regimes.
In 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany.   In 1939 he started WWII.  Germany lost the war and was almost completely destroyed.  
In 1943, Juan Peron took over Argentina and destroyed the Argentinian economy.
In 1959, Fidel Castro freed the Cuban people from a brutal dictator named Batista.   Then he made himself dictator.  The people of Cuba have been under the control of the Castro family ever since.
Just like Lenin, Hitler, Paron, and Castro, Trump made promises to people to get himself elected.  This put him in a position to appoint his family and friends to important positions.  Then, late in 2025, Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh ruled that Presidents have absolute immunity from prosecution.  Since then, Trump has been focused on nothing but the acquisition of wealth and power.  He and sons John Jr., and Erik along with son-in-law Erik Kushner have accumulated Billions of dollars of wealth.  Almost all of that wealth has come from graft and corruption.  The Trump family is considered to be the most corrupt of any in American History, and now he is trying to become the first U.S. dictator.  
Recent events in Hungary can give us a good indication of what could happen.  Here is a summary of the Hungarian economy after Viktor Orbán captured and held autocratic power there for 16 years:
Hungary became the poorest country in the European Union (EU).
It became the most corrupt country in the EU for four consecutive years.  
It has had the highest cumulative inflation rate of any country in the EU since 2020. 
Hungary’s inflation rate was nearly double the rate for the EU as a whole.  
By the time Orban was voted out of power, the average salary in Hungary was less than half of the EU average. 
During his regime, Orbán accumulated wealth in the range of $15 to $20 Million dollars.  This is miniscule compared to the billions of dollars that the Trump family has accumulated during President Trump’s six years in office.
Currently in the American economy, there is an upper class rapidly accumulating wealth and a lower class, which includes most of the people, that is suffering.  At the same time, U.S. citizens, mostly lower class, are rapidly losing their rights.  ICE and DOJ agents have been taking them away by completely ignoring the Constitution.
Keep these things in mind when you vote this year.  We must stop Trump now.  The most effective way of doing this is to defeat him and his supporters soundly at the polls in the upcoming midterm elections.  If the Democratic party can gain control of both houses, they can provide the checks and balances needed to keep him from becoming the U.S.’s first dictator.
