Girl Scouts...Picture Me Beautiful

The Tower-Soudan Girl Scouts spent a night at the Girl Scout camp in Chisholm all in hopes of getting ready to take summer photos! The goal of the two-day event was photography and digital camera basics and making works of art from photographs. The TS girls, along with Scouts from around the Range, learned the techniques for taking great shots, how to keep cameras in working order and how to frame a picture. In the evening, the group looked at cameras past and present, talked about making good photos, and practiced taking shots. In the morning, they had a photo shoot, followed by activities to mat and frame their masterpieces. Time was also spent making a flower press and learning to create a card to use for any occasion from the pressed petals.
