Golden Eagles' win means home playoff game

Posted

The Golden Eagles' win in their last home game of the season helped earn them home court advantage for the play-off game on Monday.

The Tower-Soudan Golden Eagles pumped up the action during their last regular home game of the season, beating Cotton 3-2 in front of a roaring crowd. The team, dressed in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, handed out pink bracelets and mini-volleyballs to the crowd. Student council members sold “pink” concessions, and a portion of all proceeds was donated for breast cancer research. More online at www.timberjay.com.

Volleyball coach Jodi Rogers-Reichensperger was honored before the game, with a presentation by the area’s ranking volleyball coach Loretta Rankila, flowers from husband Bob, and gifts from the volleyball team.
