Kids yoga!

Lindsey Meehan’s fourth-grade class at Tower-Soudan got a lesson in relaxation, earlier this month, as they learned a series of children’s yoga poses from instructor Nancy Larson. Meehan was hoping the yoga lesson would help students feel more relaxed about the upcoming MCA testing. Larson teaches beginner and intermediate level yoga classes through community education, and two of her students, Cheryl Lamppa and Terry Vagle, were also on hand to help students learn the poses. This was the first time Larson had taught a children’s yoga class, and she hopes to be able to offer the class again. Students were also given some tips on doing yoga stretches at home.
