Tower-Soudan Youth Development has been sponsoring a series of skating parties at the Soudan Rink, with help from the Tower-Soudan Lions Club, Tower-Soudan Community Education, Joint Powers Recreation and Breitung Township. More parties will be scheduled this winter. The Breitung Rink Warming Shack also has a good “lending” library of skates available. Jim "Chimpy" Tuominen has been leading the fun. Turnout has been good at the events so far this winter, and more skating parties will be held.
