Children in Tower-Soudan and the surrounding areas were able to enjoy the baseball season when the Little League program got underway this past May.
Children 5 to 10 years of age played in the Coach-Pitch League with Neil Chiabotti as head coach, while children 10 to 12 years of age played Minor and/or Major League baseball with Nate Dostert as head coach.
The playing season ended with the TS Golden Eagles taking 2nd place in a Minor League tournament held in West Eveleth.
Players and their families enjoyed an awards picnic on July 25 at the Soudan Park. All players received a trophy while coaches received a baseball signed by all the players.
