A revealing interview in the District 3 senate race

Timberjay reporter Ben Austin’s recent interviews with MN Senate District 3 incumbent Grant Hauschild and his Republican opponent, Andrea Zupancich, were revealing. I’m always impressed at how well Senator Hauschild has managed to respect and maintain good relationships with the Republican state senators and representatives who he needs to work with to get things done for the residents of northeast Minnesota. 
However, the most revealing thing about the differences between Sen. Hauschild and candidate Zupancich was in the last paragraph of Austin’s article: Hauschild answered the reporter’s questions all by himself. Zupancich, however, needed assistance from a Republican media relations specialist, Rachel Aplikowski, “... to clarify some of Zupancich’s comments.” 
Residents of District 3 deserve an experienced state senator who gets along with his colleagues from both sides of the aisle and doesn’t need a media relations specialist at his side when answering questions from reporters.
