BABBITT — The Northeast Range/Ely Nighthawks battled Duluth Denfeld to a 45-45 draw Tuesday at the Northeast Range pool, fueled by key wins from Via DeBeltz and the 400 freestyle relay squad.
DeBeltz claimed two first-place finishes, taking the 200 freestyle in 2:18.52 and the 500 freestyle in 6:19.90.
She also helped the Nighthawks to a runner-up spot in the 200 freestyle relay.
The quartet of Lindsay Israel, Ivy Ohlhauser, Raegan Borchert, and Lucy Luthens capped the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:46.70.
