Makede Mai’iingan-Stanley James Day, 80, of West St. Paul, former resident of Nett Lake, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. A Wake was held on Saturday, June 20 and the Traditional Service was held on Sunday, June 21, both at the Bois Forte Government and Services Center. Arrangements were with Mlaker Funeral Home of Cook.
He is survived by his children, David John Day (Myrlyn) of Springdale, Wash., Shawmarie Guelcher (Davis) of St. Paul, William Day (Amelia) of St. Louis Park, Clyde Day III (Daniell) of Minneapolis and Sarah Day of Virginia; siblings, Sharon Day, Ross “Michael” Day, Cheryl Day-Earley, Charlene Day-Castro (Raymond - deceased), Dorene Day, Jeannie Day, Lindsey Day and Dolores Day; many loved grand-kids, great grand-kids, nieces, nephews and extended family
